The 2015 Ford Edge is a mid-size crossover built on the same platform as the Mazda CX-9. The car premiered at the Detroit Motor Show in 2006.

The 2015 Ford Edge has five engines β three petrol for the US market and two diesel for Europe:
β’ Base 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with turbocharger producing 245 hp;
β’ The most powerful 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6 EcoBoost with more than 300 hp. (for Edge Sport version);
β’ The most economical 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V-6, producing up to 280 hp;
β’ Diesel 2.0-liter Duratorq TDCi with turbocharging (180 hp);
β’ Diesel 2.0-liter Duratorq TDCi with fuel injection option (210 hp).
All engines are paired with a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with manual gear shift. The only exception will be the 180 horsepower diesel engine, which is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The 2015 Ford Edge comes with a choice of front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (all-wheel drive is standard on the Edge Sport).
