Modifications
In 2007, the revival of the famous brand began, under whose name two cars have already appeared: the new Taurus sedan became an upgraded version of the Five Hundred, and the mid-size Taurus X crossover replaced the Freestyle. The new sixth generation appeared in 2009, and three years later the car underwent restyling.
The 2016 Ford Taurus sedan was equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission in combination with 2.0-liter and 3.5-liter gasoline engines.

2016 Ford Taurus Specifications
Under the hood of the sedan there may be the following gasoline unit:
- basic 2.0-liter turbo engine of the EcoBoost family with an output of 240 hp, which is installed only on front-wheel drive cars;
- 3.5-liter V6-cylinder engine producing 288 hp. installed on both front- and all-wheel drive vehicles;
- 3.5-liter V-shaped twin-turbo βsixβ with a power of 365 hp. for all-wheel drive versions of Ford Taurus SHO.
