In 2007, the revival of the famous brand began, under whose name two cars have already appeared: the new Taurus sedan became an upgraded version of the Five Hundred, and the mid-size Taurus X crossover replaced the Freestyle. The new sixth generation appeared in 2009, and three years later the car underwent restyling.

2016 Ford Taurus Specifications

Under the hood of the sedan there may be the following gasoline unit:

  • basic 2.0-liter turbo engine of the EcoBoost family with an output of 240 hp, which is installed only on front-wheel drive cars;
  • 3.5-liter V6-cylinder engine producing 288 hp. installed on both front- and all-wheel drive vehicles;
  • 3.5-liter V-shaped twin-turbo β€œsix” with a power of 365 hp. for all-wheel drive versions of Ford Taurus SHO.
