By 2017, the car had gone through 4 generation changes, but it was the fourth generation that reflected the fundamental changes in the model. The monster pickup truck with a 6-speed automatic transmission was equipped with a 6.2-liter and a base 6.7-liter engine.

In addition to the popular XL, XLT, and Lariat trim levels, King Ranch, Limited, and Platinum versions are offered with unique styling and an exclusive set of equipment and features. There are also a variety of cab sizes available: Regular Cab, Super Cab and Crew Cab.

2017 Ford F-250 Specifications

The fourth generation F250 pickup truck inherited both power units from its predecessor:

β€’ The base 6.2-liter V8 Hurricane gasoline engine remained almost unchanged with an output of 385 β€œhorses”;
β€’ 6.7-liter V8 Power Stroke turbodiesel engine, still producing 440 hp and later 450 hp.

Both the petrol and diesel units are paired with a lightweight and economical 6-speed TorqShift-G automatic transmission. A car with rear-wheel drive is adopted as standard, with all-wheel drive available as an option.

The new, more rigid frame (95% high-strength steel) is stronger than the previous version. An independent front suspension and a dependent leaf spring suspension are installed at the rear.
