The 2023 Ford Edge is a two-row, front-wheel drive mid-size crossover that is in its ninth model year and second generation. In the new model year, there are few changes. Perhaps this generation will be the last for the Ford Edge crossover.
The model impresses with the following characteristics:
• Spacious salon;
• Smooth running;
• A wide range of functions.
A feature for the SUV of the new model year was the ST package for improved equipment. The car does not impress with technical equipment, and among the disadvantages is a rather high price. Despite these shortcomings, the crossover adequately competes with other models in its segment:

The car has several configurations, which allows the consumer to choose the best option for the ratio of filling and cost. The list of models includes the following configurations:

The cost of the standard configuration starts at $39,440. The best combination of price and equipment was the SEL model. For 40 thousand US dollars, the consumer gets a stylish design, a list of necessary comfort and safety systems, and a powerful power unit.
Exterior
The car received an elegant and stylish exterior design. A bright element in the exterior was a polygonal radiator grill with a chrome edging. The LED headlights are narrowed and directed towards the grille. in the lower part of the bumper there is a massive one, which creates a laconic and stylish look.
Depending on the configuration, a panoramic sunroof is provided, which creates additional space in the cabin. Stylish molding adds dynamics to the overall image.
The complex geometry of the rear lights attracts attention. The lights move to the lid of the luggage compartment.
2023 Ford Edge Specifications
The standard model of the crossover received an in-line 4-cylinder engine with turbocharging and direct injection, which produces 250 horsepower. The working volume of the motor is 2 liters. The torque figure is 379 Nm. The power unit is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
For the ST configuration, a V-shaped 6-cylonder with a working volume of 2.7 liters is offered. Thanks to twin turbocharging, the power figure is 335 horsepower. A 7-speed automatic transmission is provided for the 6-cylinder engine.
The front independent type suspension is represented by McPherson struts, the rear – independent multi-lever.
The braking system consists of rear disc and front ventilated disc brakes.
Fuel consumption for the 2-liter engine is 11.2 liters for the city and 8.4 liters for driving on the highway. For the ST version, the indicator is 12.3 l and 9.4 l, respectively. The volume of the fuel tank is 75 liters.
The towing capacity of the most powerful model of 2023 is 1580 kg.

2023 Ford Edge Interior
The two-row cabin is quite spacious and comfortable. Four adults can be comfortably accommodated in the cabin. The configuration and space allows you to use the car not only for commuting, but also for long trips.
High-quality materials are used for decoration, fabric upholstery is provided for the basic configuration. The top versions are equipped with leather upholstery. The decoration of the instrument panel is dominated by plastic. In general, the interior is quite restrained and simple.
The volume of the luggage compartment is 969 liters, and when the rear seats are folded, the space increases to 2876 liters.
The gear shifter features an innovative rotary disc that allows easy access to cup holders, storage compartments and USB ports. Top configurations are equipped with seat heating, ventilation, dual-zone climate control and other comfort options.
All models received a 12-inch touch screen infotainment system, which is located vertically. Multimedia works with Sync 4A software and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications. A Wi-Fi access point is provided.
Navigation is still an optional feature.
Safety systems and driver assistants
The list of equipment includes the main standard functions. Driving a car is facilitated by emergency automatic braking systems, the ability to monitor and control blind spots, maintain traffic flow and keep in your lane feauture.
The car also received key safety features, the crossover is equipped with adaptive cruise control, adaptive high beams, a frontal collision avoidance function, as well as recognition and notification of cross traffic behind the vehicle.
