The fourth generation of the Ford Focus has been released for 2019. The European market is available to the universal and hatchback for 5 doors, and the sedan was presented in China.

Trim Levels

Focusing on different consumer niches, the manufacturer offered five configurations of the new car:

– Basic Trend
– All-road Active
– Sporty ST-Line
– Luxury Titanum
– Vignale.

The European premiere of the restyled version of the model took place in 2022.

Price and competitors

Exterior

The new design is closest to the Ford Focus MK3 after restyling, but with smoother transitions and new proportions. Under the update hit the radiator grille, front optics, now elongated hood, body cladding and rear sectional lights. The sporty version is optionally fitted with 18-inch wheels, while the base version gets 16-inch wheels.

As for dimensional changes, they are almost imperceptible.

After restyling, the car received LED headlights (adaptive optional) and an updated bumper.

Interior

The updated interior feels calm and laconic. While maintaining the exterior dimensions, the interior space has been maximized. Luggage compartment capacity in the station wagon is 530 liters, in the hatchback – 375 liters.

The center console has changed orientation from horizontal to vertical. Above it there is an 8-inch touchscreen of multimedia information system Sync 3, controlled by voice. The basic equipment includes Bang & Olufsen audio system with 10 speakers, Qi wireless charging, Wi-Fi wireless access point.

The powertrain lineup of Ford Focus MK4 is represented by gasoline three-cylinder turbo engines of EcoBoost family (1.0L, 1.5L) and turbodiesels (1.5L, 2.0L).

For engines with power above 150 hp is offered a choice of 6-band manual transmission or intelligent 8-speed automatic with torque converter. In other cases, only mechanics.

The front suspension remains unchanged – independent MacPherson. The rear suspension in advanced configurations is independent, in standard – twist beam.

Safety system

The arsenal of security system includes: LED optics, cruise control, automatic parking, systems of obstacle avoidance, recognition of road signs and post-accident braking of the car.
