Considering the years of production of the Ford Contour car, its basic equipment was quite rich. In addition to the four-door front-wheel-drive sedan, a five-door hatchback was produced. Front and rear suspension, reinforced with stabilizers.
Two types of engines were installed:
• Zetec – 4-cylinder, 16-valve, 2.0 liter, 125-135 hp;
• Duratec – 6-cylinder, 24-valve, 2.5 liter, 165-197 hp.
The engine works in combination with a 4-speed automatic transmission with sport and economy modes. And a manual 5-speed gearbox.
