Ford Mondeo joined the brand’s product line in 1993, replacing the Sierra model. The business sedan remained in the Ford lineup for almost 30 years, during which almost 5 million vehicles were produced.

In general, the appearance of the sixth Ford Mondeo is not much different from its counterparts – the car has similar body contours, the two-tone color of which has been retained.
Following modern trends, the new product was updated with LED daytime running lights instead of the usual optics. Below are narrowed headlights. Retractable door handles and a massive Ford Mustang-style grille. There is no grille backlight.
The rear of the 2023 Mondeo also shares similarities with the Mustang and Match-E. For example, a new design and execution of the rear lights, between which the model name is traditionally located. The updated sedan will have 17″, 18″ and 19″ wheels available.
The younger version of the sedan will increase in size compared to the previous generation:
• length – 4935 mm (+62 mm);
• width — 1875 mm (+23 mm);
• height – 1500 mm (+30 mm).
Interior features
The interior of the Ford Mondeo 2023 is comfortable and roomy, with combined upholstery.
The main pleasant feature of the new interior is a huge two-section screen that occupies almost the entire front panel. It consists of a virtual dashboard (12.3-inch multifunction display diagonal) and a large (27.0-inch) multimedia touchscreen with face and gesture recognition. Audio system “Bang & Olufsen” with 10 speakers.
There is no panoramic roof, but there is an adjustable sunroof and a separate smaller section above the rear seats.
2024 Ford Mondeo Specifications
Now the Ford Mondeo 2023 offer for the Chinese market has been expanded with the introduction of an economical 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine producing 190 hp.
The innovation should reduce fuel consumption (6.7 liters per 100 km), but will somewhat worsen the dynamics of the car. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The second version of the sixth generation Ford Mondeo received a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo-four with a power of 246 hp. This model uses an 8-speed automatic transmission in combination with a front-wheel drive system.

The price for an updated Ford Mondeo with a 2-liter engine in China varies from $22,500 to $30,500. The new version with a 1.5-liter power unit, as expected, is more budget-friendly – from $17,500 to $22,000.

The closest competitors of the Ford Mondeo 2023 in the middle class sedan market are:
- Volkswagen Passat – inferior in terms of space and ease of maintenance;
